Restoring the wireless network settings

You can revert the wireless network settings to the default values. Press and hold the Wireless button on the control panel for about 20 seconds. When the (Attention) LED and the (Power) LED start blinking together, release the Wireless button.

Using the WPS settings

Items to prepare:
• Check if the access point (or wireless router) supports Wi-Fi Protected Setup™ (WPS).
• Check if your machine supports Wi-Fi Protected Setup™ (WPS).

1. Press and hold the Wireless button on the control panel for at least 3 seconds, and then release the button. The machine starts connecting to the wireless network.
2. Within 2 minutes, press the WPS (PBC) button on the access point (or wireless router).
a. The machine is connecting to the access point (or wireless router).
b. When the machine is successfully connected to the wireless network, the LED light stays on.

Creating the infrastructure network

1. Check whether the USB cable is connected to the machine.
2. Turn on your computer, access point, and machine.
3. Download printer driver software from the HP website (www.hp.com/support/laser100).
4. Unzip the driver package and run the driver installer.
5. Review and accept the installation agreements in the installation window. Then, click Next.
6. Select Wireless on the Printer Connection Type screen. Then, click Next.
7. On the "Are you setting up your printer for the first time?" screen, select Yes, I will set up my printer's wireless network. Then, click Next.
If your printer is already connected on the network, select No, my printer is already connected to my network.
8. Select Using a USB cable on the Select the Wireless Setup Method screen. Then, click Next.
9. After searching, the window shows the wireless network devices. Select the name (SSID) of the access point you want to use and click Next.
10. When the wireless network set up is completed, disconnect the USB cable between the computer and machine. Click Next.
11. Select the components to be installed.
12. Follow the instructions in the installation window.

1 Access HP Embedded Web Server and select Settings > Network Settings > Wi-Fi > Wi-Fi Direct™.
